The FerroxTag FXT 1.X Series is a High Frequency (13.56Mz) RFID transponder designed for harsh environments. Its small size and screw mounting holes make it ideally suited to attaching to a variety of assets including metal and non-metal objects. The FerroxTag can also be glued onto assets. A key feature of the FerroxTag is the direction of the engergising field activating the device: it is not perpendicular to the identified item but parallel to it. This means that the performance is almost independent of the material to which it is attached. Furthermore, the FerroxTag uses a high magnetic permeability ferrite material that enhances the performance of the winding thus reducing the dimensions of the coil and tag. The FXT1.1 is optimised for mounting on non-metalic items. The FXT1.2 is optimised for mounting on metalic items. It is also available in two sealant types: Hard Epoxy sealant which is recommended for applications where the tag is glued to the asset. While the Silicon sealant version is recommended for the applications where humidity and/or liquids are present. Features
